I’m ready to study 40 hours a week. Will my mentor be there with me for 8 hours a day?

No, but it’s not necessary, really. This is how the mentorship works: your mentor shouldn’t breathe down your neck all the time and monitor each your step. Your mentor will be in touch with you every day, but he or she is not going to be online all the time. You’re going to communicate during the sessions devoted to some particular problem, when your mentor answers your questions, reviews your tasks and whatnot. Your study process is organized that way so you always have something to learn and do. Before you start, we highly recommend you learn how to ask the right questions.
