What’s the difference between mentorship and private lessons?
A private teacher is a kind of a baby-sitter. As for mentorship, it should teach you to make do without any outside help in the end, as well as put the right questions to get the right answers, look for solutions to the tasks and read the docs. Your mentor is not going to lecture you or breathe down your neck all the time you’re working on the task. Your study plan is designed that way so you always have something to do without a mentor. However, the mentor is going to monitor your progress, check that you learn what’s needed and when needed, and not let you hit a wall and continue progressing and finishing tasks the best way you can.
