When is my mentor available?
The available time differs for each mentor. Basically, mentors answer questions and do code reviews all day. But each mentor has their own schedule for thorough communication with students. Some might answer slowly during the working hours, some are quite the opposite and more busy at night. Our mentors and students live in different time zones which might have an impact on availability. Most of the mentors are ready to help on weekends too, but not all of them. For some it’s a must-do to rest on weekends.
After you’ve subscribed, don’t forget to discuss with your mentor how often you’re going to communicate, so that you always get help when needed. However, don’t worry if your mentor doesn’t answer you straightaway. This is how the mentorship works: your mentor shouldn’t breathe down your neck all the time and monitor each your step. You can switch to some other part of the task and then, when your mentor gets available, you will be able to get the most of your conversation.
